SILVER ADDY AWARD 2006,
Advertising Club of Philadelphia
Save the Date - We created a hand-drawn MAP of the United States, indicating departure points for all guests with illustrated airplanes. This piece was printed on oversized textured paper, for authenticity and folded in the traditional way. It featured all the necessary accommodations, travel arrangements and phone numbers for the wedding. The piece was mailed in a speckled tie-back, #10 envelope.
Journals - The inspiration for Morgan and Stephen’s “Journal” invitation package came from a personal journal kept by the bride. A personal logo, was created and used throughout this 16-page, letterpress book, to tell the story of how they met and dated and it eventually invited guests to their wedding. A metallic copper envelope, adhered to the back inside cover of the book, held the invitation and rsvp, encouraging recipient involvement. The journal invitations were packaged and sent out in elegant white boxes.
Programs - Love notes to each other were written by both the bride and the groom and were printed separately on monogrammed stationary, inserted into an envelope with a program card entitled “Love notes”. These envelopes were placed on the seats at the ceremony.
Table cards - Small square cards featuring the animals and characters used on rustic weather vanes, which served as centerpieces, were printed in metallic copper. Tiny compasses were attached with twine to each card, helping guests navigate to their assigned “weather vane” table.
Menus - Tiny icons of a cow, fish and vegetables were designed onto a card intended for guests to choose their meal.
Rehearsal Dinner A card indicating that this evening would be “Practice” was sent along with a postcard from Bethlehem, PA, (hosting town of the rehearsal dinner) which served as the rsvp.
Thank you card The thank you card simply read, “To be continued...” at the top, allowing the couple to write a personal note underneath.
